I feel that it is of utmost importance to focus on building a sound foundation in music theory, as well as providing continuing performance opportunities for each of my music students. I have taught, instructed and trained numerous piano and voice students of all ages and various backgrounds; church musicians, performing arts students, music majors, musical directors, opera singers, military personnel, medical professionals, school teachers, retirees, senior citizens and other burgeoning musicians over the years. Many of my former and present day music students have become a large, close knit, nation wide 'Musical Family' wherein I form lifelong professional music relationships with all whom I teach. This continues to be an extremely gratifying experience for me.
I also firmly believe (from having spent numerous years of individual, first-hand, one-on-one involvement in teaching music to children) that the piano is a most effective and beneficial ''educational tool'' that can greatly improve a child's progress. What every parent should know about the power of piano lessons is teaching a child the ''3C's''...CONCENTRATION, COORDINATION and CONFIDENCE.
Piano lessons are a wonderful way to give your child a broad appreciation of music. The piano is also an excellent educational tool that can help strengthen and accelerate a child's mental, physical and social development. Piano study is extremely rewarding in numerous ways. Whenever a youngster learns the discipline, perseverance and consistency that is required for successful accomplishment, these qualities ultimately continue to carry over later on into their adult life.
Children that take piano lessons learn valuable qualities such as concentration, coordination and confidence. These qualities have been termed the ''three C's'', and they can help children reach their full potential. Complete concentration is required when studying piano. In lessons, a child learns to read two lines of music and uses both ears, arms, legs, feet and all ten fingers with the brain sending a different message to each of the body parts, causing them to work together. No other activity allows these skills to be used so constructively! Coordination of the mind and muscles is also developed with piano lessons, transferring into many daily activities, which can include improved hand-eye coordination, greater sports enjoyment, and the fuller use of both sides of the brain. Confidence is then developed as a child begins to experience the benefits of concentration and coordination. It is very rewarding for a child to complete a difficult task, allowing him or her to feel good about the accomplishment. In other words, the ''three C's'' can help build a foundation that will cause a child to grow and benefit now and also in the future.
As a parent, you only have a short amount of time to influence and mold your children throughout their early years in a positive and productive way for the future. I'm not sure who came up with the following quote, but I truly believe that it effectively sums everything up in a nutshell…
''A hundred years from now it will no longer matter any more about how large and impressive my bank account once was. It will no longer matter any more about the size and location of the home or the neighborhood that I lived in, or the kind of vehicle that I drove around in… but the world may be different in a much better way, all because I was important in successfully guiding the life of a child.''

Thanks to Suzanne's quality coaching, my singing voice has become a lot stronger and more sustained. My phrasing and breath control is better too. I don't suffer from my voice giving out and dropping off half way through a song any more like I used to. I highly recommend her to anybody in need of a good voice teacher!
Being an elderly adult without any prior music training or background, I figured it was too late to teach an old dog like myself any new tricks. Thank Miss Brittania at Infinity Music Studio for proving me wrong. She has taught me so much more than I ever imagined was possible and helped build confidence in myself and bring out the inner musician in me that I never even realized I had.
